This is a bigger, bolder, and superior movie experience that you cannot replicate at home and can only get at the theatre with PURE.

 

 

Each PURE auditorium has been redesigned to incorporate the best electric recliners on the market. Each seat reclines to a perfect viewing position and along with plush seat finishes makes these seats the most comfortable movie viewing you have ever experienced.

As well as new upgraded seats, we have allowed for even more leg room increasing our row lengths to almost 2 meters. This allows for easy movement across the screen even when other viewers are fully reclined. With increased row lengths the viewing becomes a lot more intimate as audience capacity is reduced in numbers, SO BOOK EARLY for the best seat.

 

 

The environment of each PURE auditorium has been transformed.

The walls of each PURE auditorium have been fitted with acoustically enhanced fabric panels, this along with our existing Dolby sound system brings the sweet spot to an even sweeter level. We always have and always will EQ the sound performance on regular basis with our Dolby certified technicians for the best possible sound reproduction in our theatres 

Our new PURE auditorium screens are cut to the CINEMASCOPE aspect ratio perfectly, making sure what the director of the movie wants you to see will be exactly what you see on the screen. Nothing will be cut stretched or pulled to fit the screen, everything will reproduced exactly “in format” as intended by the film maker.

Blackpool’s Screen 1 has been resized to fit wall to wall moving from an 11m screen to a whopping 15m screen making it one of the largest CINEMASCOPE screens in cork.
In 2017, Ballincollig Screen 1 was increased to its maximum CINEMASCOPE size from its original 10m to a 13m size. 

Both screen surfaces have been changed to a Hi-Perlux finish for the best picture reproduction for our new BARCO Series 4 4K Laser projectors, bringing you breathtaking images in all their grandeur.

 

 

Laser projectors can produce much brighter images with a higher contrast ratio, which means deeper blacks and more sparkling highlights. They also operate with reduced energy consumption leading to an eco-friendlier outcome to traditional xenon lamp-based projectors.

4K laser projection uses a laser light source to display images at a sharp, ultra-high resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels. The result is a projected image with crystal clear contrast, greater uniformity of brightness and an unparalleled colour spectrum all working together perfectly to make the best picture even better. This is the supreme new visual standard of cinema projection.
